    Love it (pun AND color)! Too bad folks often confuse Rhus with the invasive Ailanthus and see them both as undesirable.

    I think a lot of us had Sumac on the brain this week…I did a Sumac post the other day too! Love these wild ones so much…there’s nothing like those beacons of scarlet and crimson amongst the gold and oranges of the rest of the trees. Honestly, they are pretty much the most spectacular fall foliage I can think of 🙂

    I have a giant patch of Sumac…In September and October I enjoy it, but the patch is truly getting out of hand. All I can do is mow the new ones each spring.

    I don’t like sumac any other time of year, but in fall it is gorgeous! It looks primitive and fiery.
