    I love River Birches. Do you find though that people tend to forget just how big they can get? Ours (a straight species) started as a whip about twenty-five years ago, it is now pushing fifty feet in height and shows no sign of slowing down. Which is fine in this location, thankfully! But might be a bit of a surprise elsewhere.
