    Scott, Great photos of one of my favorite trees. Love how this clump is planted near the driveway & walkway so the exfoliating bark can be seen up close all year long.

      Thanks Debbie! It really is in a great spot, you get within 4 or 5 feet of the trunk from each side. One of my favs too!

    We have beautiful native white, gray, and pinkish barked birches here. That said, Heritage is gorgeous, esp. the peeling bark and is on my acquisition list now. Thanks!

      Sounds like you have a wonderful assortment of natives there Christine! Heritage is worth the effort to find. It is hardy to zone 4.
