Potatoes are great a crop to grow! I was wondering about the post on the corners of your boxes – what are they for?

I agree Helen, this is our biggest undertaking with potatoes so far. These structure are called potato towers, and as the plants grow we will add 2×6 timbers to the sides (screwed in the posts) and back fill around the potato plants, until they get about 4′ high. Potatoes will grow throughout the tower.
