I’ve been all over the internet getting help thinking about reducing my lawn some more. You are the perfect person to ask: I don’t want to increase the number of deer ticks I already have. I’ve been searching, but it seems almost any alternative to lawn (except gravel or hardscape) is going to provide a better habitat for ticks. Any thoughts?

Not my area of expertise, but lower growing plants (i,e, ground covers and shorter perennials and grasses), might limit the occurences of ticks landing on your person. I would also look into plants that repel ticks and add them to the garden. Thanks for the comment, hope that helps! 🙂
